TiM LANDER PHOTOGRAPHY

How do you define your style?

In a word, organic. I have an off-the-cuff approach that captures the best of you on your day. I love moments, real moments. Combine them with

creative portraits that keep you engaged and moving and you get a coverage of your wedding that is not only beautiful, but also authentic.

How do you handle the groups (formals)?

Keep it simple! - Any more than 10-12 and your guests get fidgety. Group formals are simply a part of the wedding though, as you have a rare opportunity of families getting together. I’ve

not photographed a single one without them. Have a think about the people you want in your shots and run-up a list for the day, and give it to the best man or maid of honour, and me.

I’m not comfortable having my photo taken, can you help?

Yes, because you know what? me too! I work to get to know you and understand you which helps you relax around me. The results are natural photos full of emotion and feeling, not poses.

What happens if it rains?

Boo! Actually not really! Rain is a huge opportunity. Yes your photos might show a lot of umbrellas and guests hiding under trees, but that adds a lot of character.

What is the deposit and when is the balance due?

I ask for a £300 deposit that secures the date. We then complete a signed Wedding Photography Agreement that books me for your wedding. The balance is due 2 months before

your wedding. I’ll contact you before this to organise a time for the conversation meeting. I know you will be super busy and my aim is to make things as easy as possible.

Can we share our photos on social media?

Yes, absolutely. Your photos come with a full Personal Use License. This means you are free to print, email and share your photos with family and friends. I do not demand

you use watermarked images on social media. The only restriction is commercial use. So you’ll need to get in touch with me before they appear in Hello! Magazine please.

What is the online gallery you mention?

The online gallery is a private area where your photographs will be for you and your family and friends to view. You can also download digital copies completely free.

Do we need to feed you at the reception?

It’s really kind if you do, but it’s not contracted. Feeding my assistant and I ensures we stay cheerful and mobile, and don’t end up relying on stale forgotten protein bars from 2014.

Can our family and friends take pictures with their cameras?

Of course! It doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I do request they give me the space I require; but I don’t mind if they snap away from the background. I don’t allow family or friends

to come along for the couple photos for privacy purposes. I welcome other cameras during dancing and cake cutting. Just no bundling me out of the way and respect my presence.

Are you fully insured?

Absolutely and completely, with Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance ― and should one of your venues require documentation, just ask. I always carry it with me anyway.

Do you take other types of photography or just weddings?

I do specialise in weddings and like to give my full attention to my wedding couples. However, if there is something you want to discuss, then please do get in touch and we’ll chat.

Oops! Err?… Extra question to fill the space :-)

Do you have any other skills?

Not useful ones, so probably not. I can cook oven pizza, I can skip and climb the stairs at the same time, I can drink half a beer and get a bit drunk (Cheap date!),

I can use ten knives to make one sandwich, I can stare-out a statue (stubborn), and I know how to use indicators even though I drive a German car.

Booking a great wedding photographer should not be hard. I have compiled a list of questions that I’ve been asked quite a bit.

If you don’t find your answer here however, please do contact me with your question, or even list of questions.
